From September 22 to 24, the 2026 Apsara Conference was held in Hangzhou, China. With Agentic AI at its core, the conference explored the full technology stack, spanning chips and cloud infrastructure to agentic applications. The event featured three main forums, more than 120 breakout sessions, and four themed exhibition halls—Intelligence, Computing Power, Creation, and Industry. With 50,000 square meters of exhibition space, it brought together more than 1,000 exhibitors.

CIMC Digital Power, the strategic digital energy platform of CIMC Group, showcased its full-stack prefabricated modular data center solutions at the event.

Prefabricated Modular Solutions: Bringing Industrialized Efficiency to Data Center Delivery

Built around the principle of productizing engineering, this approach breaks down a data center into standardized units, including IT, cooling, and power distribution modules. These modules are prefabricated and pre-integrated in the factory before being transported to the project site for rapid assembly.

With up to 90% of work completed in the factory, this approach can reduce overall construction time by more than 50% and cut construction waste by approximately 90%.

To date, CIMC Digital Power has delivered more than 17,000 modules across over 200 projects worldwide, with a presence spanning the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Europe, and other regions.

Double-decker Stacked IT Data Hall: Decoupled Design for Greater Efficiency

The double-decker stacked IT data hall model on display attracted considerable interest from industry visitors. Designed around installation and maintenance requirements, the solution separates equipment areas from MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) infrastructure by organizing them across two levels. The lower level houses IT racks and electrical equipment, while the upper level accommodates power distribution lines, liquid cooling pipelines, chilled water piping, and cable trays.

This decoupled design offers several key advantages. IT racks and MEP infrastructure can be pre-installed separately in the factory and inspected for quality before being transported to the site for integration, significantly reducing on-site trade conflicts and overlapping work. In addition, maintenance of the upper-level infrastructure can be carried out without disrupting the operation of IT equipment below, improving operational and maintenance efficiency throughout the data center's lifecycle.

Built to standard shipping container dimensions, the modules are compatible with conventional transportation methods, eliminating the need for specialized transport and helping reduce logistics costs.
